🃏 Spanish 40-card deck (or standard deck without 8s, 9s, 10s)

About This Game

A Mexican fishing game where capturing the card just played by your opponent (a 'porrazo') scores bonus points. Simple rules make it perfect for casual play.

How to Play

  1. Deal 3 cards to each player, 4 face-up on table
  2. On your turn: play one card to try to capture
  3. Capture by matching rank (pairs take matching cards)
  4. Also capture any cards in sequence above the matched card
  5. Porrazo: capturing opponent's just-played card scores bonus
  6. Counter-porrazo: playing 3rd card of same rank after a porrazo
  7. San Benito: playing 4th card after counter-porrazo wins the game
  8. When hands empty, deal 3 more cards (no new table cards)
  9. Score points for captures: most cards, most golds, sevens, etc.
