How to Play

  1. Set up two stakes (hobs) 18 feet apart (or farther for horseshoe rules)
  2. Each player gets 2 quoits (heavy rings)
  3. Stand at one hob and throw quoits at the opposite hob
  4. Score:
  • Ringer (over the stake): 3 points
  • Leaner (touching the stake): 2 points
  • Closest to the stake: 1 point
  1. Both players throw before scoring
  2. Cancellation scoring: opponent's matching scores cancel out
  3. First to 21 points wins
